(July 30, 2026) “Limited Edition,” my queer Newfoundland body-horror story, will appear in Red Raven Press’s forthcoming Mixed Bag Anthology. Medical student and nightclub dancer Shea accepts $1,000 to perform at an isolated Christmas party in Flatrock, only to discover that his wealthy hosts collect far more than entertainment from the young men they invite. Drawing on mummering folklore, the story blends class anger, dark humour, and supernatural revenge as Shea fights to avoid becoming the party’s latest work of art. (June 30, 2026) “The Newfie Bullet,” my queer speculative romp set in an independent Newfoundland, is being developed for adaptation by the Mixtape Stories podcast. Mover Frank is hired to transport a humming locked chest across the island on a high-speed train, only to discover that its politically explosive cargo has been rigged to destroy the terminal at Port aux Basques. What follows is part train thriller and part absurd alternate-history caper, complete with selkie attendants, railway wards, foreign agents, and two men who dislike each other just long enough to realize they work beautifully under pressure. Beneath the humour and momentum, the story asks what happens when a person or place is treated only as something available for the right price.
